Often, games only get LAN play because developers don't want to deal with latency issues and different networks. SpellingsĮA astonished the entire gaming world by supporting online gameplay in the Windows version of Need for Speed UndergroundNFSU, but leaving out LAN play. The game also features over 100 single player races and a hip hop/hard rock soundtrack including artists such as Mystikal, Rob Zombie, and the Crystal Method. Players get the chance to build their own racing machine almost from the ground up, with hundreds of real licensed parts and lots of licensed cars, including the Mazda RX-7 and the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The game revolves around illegal night time street racing with heavily modified import cars and has been greatly influenced by the movie the Fast And The Furious and its sequel. I'm sorry for all mistakes in english if any.Need For Speed: Underground is the seventh game in the long running Need For Speed racing series. That's very important for me, because i play NFSU 17 years, and want to permanently migrate to linux. Thank you in advance for all suggestions. When i run nfsuserver.exe and next run nfsuclient.exe, is a success time, because i can check the server in client without error. Yes, i was trying to edit both files - not help. I was looking for solution, and i read something like "wine runs applications always as admin" and "hosts file in system32 is not using by wine, wine use a main hosts file from linux filesystem" (wineprefix) hosts file looks good, and modificable (by client), when i'm not use client as a #root. when i'm running nfsuclient.exe by wine as a #root, instead of i see "make sure your hosts file is writable". when i'm trying to check the server, client shows me error "ps2nfs04.ea.com didn't resolved as expected. I run nfsuclient.exe in lutris or as wine in terminal ($user). On windows OS is a simple procedure: nfsuclient.exe run as admin and check server > NFSU run as admin > enjoy. finally NFSU works now perfectly in offline mode. over the years i can see, how my games have fewer and fewer problems.

First i would love to say thank you for wine programists.
